Jerry Remy, also known as "Rem Dawg," is in his eighteenth year as color commentator on NESN and the Red Sox television network. The former second baseman played eight seasons with the Red Sox from 1978-86 after breaking into the major leagues with the California Angels in 1975. In addition to his work with the Red Sox, Remy has also worked the Saturday Game of the Week with the Fox Network. He has generously used his local celebrity status to help raise money through the Red Sox Foundation, the Jimmy Fund, and Curt Schilling's partnership with the ALS Association, Curt's Pitch for ALS.
