Description
Rosie O'Donnell is an actress, comedienne, artist, philanthropist, and author. Inspired by Bette Midler and Barbara Streisand, she first made her mark with the movie-going public as Doris Murphy in A League of Their Own (1992), which was followed by numerous movie roles including Sleepless in Seattle and Grease. Her hugely popular Rosie O'Donnell Show ended in 2002, after a six year run, but she continues to perform and appear in public, including on the World Poker Tour. In 1997, she established the Rosie's For All Kids Foundation, Inc. to help support the intellectual, social, and cultural development of at-risk and underserved children throughout the United States. In recent years, she has been creating art that reflects the people and events in her life. O'Donnell's work entails a collection of mixed media and collages. Proceeds from the sales go to Rosie's Broadway Kids, an arts organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts.
