Description

Cheryl Warrick creates powerful paintings in acrylic and mixed media about the role of language and memory in the universal search for human wisdom. Having studied at the Massachusetts College of Art, she is now widely exhibited in New England, Chicago, and Atlanta. Her work is represented in many corporate collections, as well as the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists. Some of her work was shown in the exhibition, "America Draws," at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. About her work, Warrick says, "I have always been interested in creating layers in my paintings. The grid structure allows all of the contents of those layers to be revealed at once...I am weaving a tapestry, a quilt, about the human experience."
