Description

Tory Fair is an accomplished young artist specializing in painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Fair received degrees from Harvard University, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Massachusetts College of Art. Her work has been exhibited across the country including the Cambridge Public Art Commission, Cambridge, MA; the Mills Gallery, Boston; the Green Street Gallery, Boston; Schroeder Romero, Brooklyn, NY; Cue Gallery, New York; Art Trek, Flagstaff, AZ; and The New Gallery, Santa Monica, CA. Fair has held teaching positions at the Massachusetts College of Art, Harvard University, and Brandeis University, where she is currently teaching. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center and the MacDowell Colony. She has been the recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, the Artist Resource Trust Grant of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant, and the Gardner Fellowship, as well as several awards for teaching including the Derek Bok award for excellence in teaching and the Faculty Course Development Award from Brandeis University.
