For the beginning rider or adult/child longing for a sublime equine experience! Spend a morning at the Southgate's stable. You'll begin your barnyard experience with a traditional farm-cooked breakfast as you review barn safety and equestrian basics. Then out to the stable for a few farm chores (yes, you'll do a little "mucking out") and groom and tack up gentle Ned, a Haflinger large pony who can hold an adult or child up to 180 pounds. After you return from your one-hour trail ride through Huddert Park, you'll receive a basket of horsey goodies and a $180 gift certificate for 3 to 4 lessons at Springdown Equestrian Center. Package is for a child over 7 years old; parents welcome at breakfast and ride if desired OR one adult rider. Parent or guardian must sign a release form for riders under 18 years. Tally ho!
