Description
Charles Schulz, creator of the "peanuts" cartoon, permitted the use of the Snoopy character on Skylab decals used to identify crew personal items. Halfway thru the Skylab 4 mission, astronaut Bill Pogue "was amused to note a Snoopy decal floating lazily by at eye level" as he was exercising on a stationary bicycle. He and Science Pilot Ed Gibson decided the decals would make great mementos. At the end of the mission, they peeled off the ones that had not come loose and brought them back. This decal includes a signed description and certificate of authenticity from COL Pogue.
