Skylab 4 was launched on November 16, 1973 with astronauts Gerald Carr, William Pogue and Edward Gibson aboard, returning to earth on February 8, 1974. Last of the Skylab missions, it included observation of the Comet Kohoutek among numerous experiments. Completed 1,214 Earth orbits and four EVAs totalling 22 hours, 13 minutes.
