COL Buzz Aldrin made his initial mark in space as a member of the crew of Gemini 12 along with command pilot James Lovell. As the lunar module pilot for the historic Apollo 11 mission, Aldrin became the second man to actually walk on the lunar surface, logging over two hours of moonwalking in the process!
