Special Instructions

These medallions were created to give workers in the Apollo program in industry a concrete memento of the mission they had worked on to recognize and encourage their continued best efforts. The medallions were part of a larger effort by the Manned Flight Awareness program within NASA to develop an appreciation within the space industry of the fact that real people would be using their products in a very hostile environment.
