In this work, Pat Doyle Mikrut offers a stunning piece of free motion quilting. Made from hand-dyed fabric, the original design is inspired by the old Irish tune, "MacNamara's Band." "Oh the drums go bang and the cymbals clang and the horns they blaze away!"

Special Instructions
Pat Doyle Mikrut began her art career as an oil painter and spent more than forty years "doing" art fairs and juried shows throughout the Chicago Southland. In 2000, after creating a series of large oil paintings about fabric, Mikrut was inspired to use her sewing machine as her tool for making art.
