The powerful images throughout Moore's body of work capture the human struggle against all odds that Moore himself lived. Moore grew up in Ford Heights, IL, one of the poorest areas in the city of Chicago. While many in his class were not even expected to finish high school, Moore, inspired by his eighth grade and local community center, went on to study art at Western Illinois University, and is now working toward a Master of Fine Arts in metals at Governors State University. He was recently honored as the winner of the UNICEF logo competition.
