Description
"Do you feel the music through your arms? Flying across your hands? You throw---I Catch" says Witlock on her whimsical cymbal. Embellished with permanent marker, engraving, one glass bead, and twenty-two hand-painted musicians made in Germany, Witlock's work captures the musical mayhem of Sunday evening outdoor concerts in her Central Illinois hometown. The drawings, questions, circling phrases and musicians in red and gold spilled onto the cymbal and out of the pages of Witlock's memories and sketchbooks of those concerts in the park.
