Webber originally began working with reflective and iridecent pigment as a wallpaper designer in New York in the mid 1990's. These large abstract paintings sre the next step in the evolution of his use of reflective elements.

"The paintings evoke the hazy opalescence of the desert as well as the atmoshphere of the sea. The colorfield paintings are overlain with a series of iridecent surfaces that change in color as the viewer and the lighting change positions."
Mike Weber's work has been shown in New York, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and featured on the MTV series the Real World.
