The family-friendly road trip will be chauffeured by Joel Solon, Mason-Rice parent, baseball fan, and diner buff.

Joel will pick up the winning bidder and up to 5 family members and friends in a luxurious Toyota Sienna. During the 1 hour drive to one of New England's premier diners (Zip's Diner, Dayville, CT), the winners can listen to any Major League Baseball broadcast (via XM satellite radio), peruse Roadside magazine's "Minors & Diners" issue, or just relax. After a delicious dinner, Joel will drive the winners to Dodd Stadium (30 minutes away in Norwich, CT), home of the Eastern League's Connecticut Defenders (until recently known as the Norwich Navigators, 2002 Eastern League Champions), in time to watch batting practice and the game.

The Defenders schedule (http://www.ctdefenders.com/) includes 8 Friday night fireworks promotions, and games in April and June against the Portland SeaDogs (Red Sox affiliate, 2005 Northern Division champion).
