This is a collection of essays on the legacy of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment, the most well known regiment of black troops to fight in the Civil War. It is co-edited by Martin Blatt, father of Rosa Munson Blatt, who attends Kesher. Blatt wrote an essay in the book about the movie "Glory," which popularized the history of the Regiment.
