Description

Opening bid is $75. Vinnie Paz, who had been known as Vinny Pazienza, was the IBF lightweight champion in 1987-88 and the WBA super welterweight champion in 1991.

Vinny Paz, the Pazmanian Devil, broke his neck in a serious automobile accident. Paz was told that he would never fight again, and he spent three months in a hospital bed. When doctors told Paz he would never fight again they obviously did not know the heart of a true champion. Against doctors orders, and without their knowledge, "The Pazman" returned to the gym with a halo on. He began lifting weights, getting back the strength he lost while sitting in bed. He finally made his triumphant return to the ring just over a year later. His first opponent was former welterweight champ Luis Santana. Paz won a ten round decision.
