The dwelling shown is the traditional caribou skin tent formerly used by these people "on the move" after game. The window is made of bear's intestine, the door is a grizzly bear skin, and the stovepipe is a modern touch (circa 1950). Grandmother and granddaughter wear cotton "kuspuks" protecting fur garments underneath. In the background are the limesone cliffs of Anaktuvuk Pass.
