Original Dry Pastel Chalk

Marianne Nealy is a Shelburne resident and life long Vermonter. As a University of Vermont graduate, she earned her degree in Special Education and is currently teaching in the Colchester Middle School. She spends her summers painting on site. She has received all of her training in pastel painting through workshops and hands on experience. Although she has painted with other mediums, she prefers the vibrant color palette of the dry pastel chalk. When used on coarse papers, many layers of color provide the sparkle and subtle movement visible in Vermont's summer landscape.
