Sheila McGowan has been illustrating and printmaking for over 15 years with a BFA in Design. Her exquisitely detailed etchings capture the ambiance and Vermont charm of intimate local settings. She also specializes in commissioned home portraits.

Sheila has been working as a professional artist for 15 years. She won the 2000 Stowe for Art's Sake Award of Excellence and the 1997 American Pen Woman's Award. Her artwork has appeared in the Mary Bryan Gallery, the Southern Vermont Art Association, the Firehouse Gallery, Robert Paul Gallery, the Silver Wing Gallery and in many private collections. While originally from the Hudson Valley Region of New York, Sheila lives in Burlington with her husband and two children.
