Description

Acrylic on wood

My vision for the piece was one of connectedness. I feel most connected to the cycle of life by nature and I also feel that we are all connected by how we relate to the world around us. The physical world is full of mysteries and holds great energy for us that would keep us stronger and healthier if we could maintain our connections. I am have been growing bonsai for over 30 years so a tree was bound to creep in. There is nothing like the study of an ancient tree to put life in perspective.

Trudy is a designer with a fine arts background whose training started at the State University of NY at New Paltz and continued in the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia. She spent her early years in Virginia working as a silversmith and exhibiting her paintings. Her move to Vermont in the late 70's brought a shift in the focus of her creativity and she spent more time in theatre design and architecture, eventually opening her current business which specializes in residential remodeling. Occasionally she has a client that asks for a special Trompe L'oeil detail that allows her to pick up her paintbrushes again. She invites you to visit her website.
