Mixed media on wood

All the materials used in creating LIFE IS SEW WONDERFUL are from the artists' sewing supplies or scraps of fabric from previous projects. Her technique for fiber is a layered fabric collage. Small pieces of fabric are assembled to form shapes, then machine stitching holds them in place. The stitching also provides shading, texture and design images. Her work highlights the places she visits in the natural world while she recreates.

Dianne is a well known fiber and colored pencil artist living in Northern Vermont.
