New Orleans Cooking Experience donates a gift certificate for a cooking class for two, valued at $370. The certificate is valid for one year from the date of the auction and can be used for either dinner or lunch classes. Advanced reservations required. New Orleans Cooking Experience offers luxury, highly personalized cooking classes and cooking vacations, set at the House on Bayou Road. Classes are limited to ten students, and are focused on classic Creole and Cajun cooking. Each class consists of 2 1/2 hours of class instruction followed by a four course dinner party style meal, including wine service for the duration of class and the meal. The House on Bayou Road is a petite Creole plantation converted to a luxury inn. It was built in 1796 and is set on over two acres of land just 12 blocks from the French Quarter. Chefs include Frank Brigtsen, Chiqui Collier, Susan Ridgeway, Poppy Tooker and Michael DeVidts.
