The Play Pink Child's Quilt was hand made by members of the Valley Baptist Medical Center -- Brownsville Auxiliary. It took more than two volunteers to create this boisterous and merry tiny comforter. One of the creative forces behind the 0 by 0 "woobie" says they stitched various cheerful colors together in hopes it would go to a little girl just as cheerful and lively as their creation. Get up close to this quilt and you will see a number of colorful rainbows aligned with stars, small patches of blue sky, pink lilies, rain drops, and green and white sprinkles -- all framed by a sea of pink. The Play Pink Child's Quilt is accompanied by a teddy bear, two children's books, a reading lamp, and a basket.
