On a Saturday of your choice, the successful bidder and up to two additional guests will be treated to lunch at the Colonial Inn, followed by a guided tour of the Concord Free Public Library's rich Thoreau and Thoreau-related collections by Leslie Wilson, Curator of Special Collections. We will look at some of the old favorites--the manuscript of "Walking" and Thoreau pencils among them--and newer acquisitions as well, and will discuss current work with the collections and Thoreau-related web projects in progress.
