Description

"Tour of Mosby's Confederacy".

See the beautiful back roads, villages, and historic terrain where federal troops vainly sought the Confederate partisan ranger John Singleton Mosby from 1863-65.

Visit the "Aldie" that Herman Melville writes about in "A Scout Towards Aldie" when he visited with the 2nd Massachusetts Cavalry in the uneasy spring of 1864.

See too where Ralph Waldo Emerson's son-in-law Forbes was defeated and nearly killed by Mosby in the summer of 1864.

Led by Rich Gillespie, Director of Education for the Mosby Heritage Area. He led the Society's John Brown weekend in Virginia back in the spring of 2004.

Can accommodate up to 4 adults.
