Henry Adam's wife, Marian Hooper Adams, was the daughter of Transcendentalists, Ellen Sturgis Hooper and the niece of Caroline Sturgis Tappan. Adams does not mention his wife, known as "clover", (a suicide victim) in his autobiography. The book is in good condition but has no dust cover.
