Description

Chris P. Frey and Doug Geiss, winners of local competitions, past presidents of the Fermental Order of Renaissance Draughtsmen (F.O.R.D.), co-conspirators in the Belgian Ale Yeasts experiments (Chicago 2003; Baltimore, 2005), and all around beer fanatics, will offer two cases of their award winning recipes. The winning bidder will receive a case of Crispy's Nearly Nirvana Pale Ale and a case of Doug's Death By Chocolate Porter.

The Nearly Nirvana Pale Ale is similar to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, only bigger in all ways. Extra malt and generous additions of homegrown Cascade hops makes this a big, hoppy pale ale. Brewed many times by Chris, this is his house favorite!

The Death By Chocolate Porter, brewed by Doug dozens of times is his house favorite. While no actual chocolate goes into this beer, imaginative use of specialty grains provides a balanced chocolate flavor note to this brew .

These were brewed at the 2006 Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Brew festival on July 22nd, and will be available fresh in the bottle for the winning bidder.
