Located in the rolling hummocks southwest of the town of Nantucket, the course offers breathtaking views and challenging golf shots.


Officially opened in October 2003 and designed by Howard Maurer, the newest nine holes offer ample fairways and challenging approach shots with many golf shot options. The greens on the old course are small, averaging 3000 square feet, containing subtle contours surprising the unsuspecting putt. The greens on the new nine average 6000 square feet of undulating tiers and surrounds with a variety of chipping options. The course is challenging yet very playable, with multiple tees that allow both professionals and amateurs equal opportunity to enjoy each hole.

The Miacomet Golf Course is owned by the Nantucket Island Land Bank. In addition to the golf course, the Land Bank Commission acquires beaches, wetlands, aquifer recharge areas, moorlands, heath lands and other land significant to Nantucket's habitats and cultural character. The Miacomet Golf Course is managed by Moors Inc., a Passios Group Company - Charles T. Passios, president.
