Paul Galschneider, member, Artists' Association of Nantucket, created this original oil painting especially for the Nantucket Airport Foundation's auction. "Company of Three" is a 20" x 24" oil painting on linen, surrounded by an elegant gold frame.


The serene mood of Nantucket is created in a sea of blues, from both the ocean and the sky. It radiates a feeling of peaceful days on the island. The energy from Paul's heavy impasto strokes impart motion, yet a calmness, to the sailboats.


Paul Galschneider, a native of Czechoslovakia, is best known for his Moody Interiors, Bold Florals and his Impressionistic Seascapes.
His original art work can be viewed at the Even Keel Restaurant in downtown Nantucket, in the Summer House Restaurant in Sconset and is included in private collections throughout the world. His studio, located at 14 Atlantic Ave., on Nantucket, is a showcase for his latest works.
