Peggy Silverstein, a renowned portrait artist, will interpret your "pet or plane" in an 8 x 10 inch oil on canvas. The artist will work from photos supplied by the winning bidder or, if the pet is on Nantucket, by photos taken by Peggy. Passionate about flying, Peggy's a "pilot in training" and
a pet lover who interprets both subjects in her unique style.

A long time resident of the island and member of the Artists'
Association of Nantucket (AAN), Peggy has been a working artist her entire life. She has created paintings and sculptures and is an accomplished portrait painter. Peggy holds an M.F.A. from Pratt Institute and continued her studies at Columbia University. Her work can be seen at the AAN Gallery in downtown Nantucket and in the Nantucket Memorial Airport's ongoing art exhibition program.
