Description
Win a fabulous four-day/three-night stay at the beautiful Yachana Lodge in Ecuador and help protect the rainforest at the same time! This package includes all meals and accomodations, a bilingual guide to the included excursions to the area's natural wonders, plus canoe transportation to and from Coca! (See special note, below for further details.)
FUNDESIN constructed Yachana Lodge in 1995 to help protect Ecuador's rainforest by educating and empowering its people.
The lodge sits beside the Napo River in Mondana, a two-hour motorized canoe ride from Coca. Every room offers a stunning view of the Napo River, and it has a private bathroom, hot showers, and safe drinking water. The dining room serves exquisite dishes made from locally grown ingredients.
Learn about the rainforest and the culture of the Quichua. Meet with a shaman, take a walk with a naturalist, pick jungle fruits, and take a night-walk to spot nocturnal animals.
When you visit Yachana, you help preserve the rainforest. The lodge provides stable employment and training to its local staff, and it serves as the main source of income for FUNDESIN's community projects.
