Spend an evening with two Northwest All-Stars: Ten-time Golden Glove winner Omar Vizquel, former shortstop for the Seattle Mariners, and Gary Faigin, painter, artistic director of Gage Academy of Art (formerly Seattle Academy of Fine Art) and KUOW art reviewer, at an exclusive dinner in Faigin's Ballard painting studio. Even die-hard fans may not know that the Venezuelan baseball player who makes barehanded plays, backhanded plays, and over-the-bag-at-second base plays also makes oil paintings with the same disciplined passion. An art lover and art collector, Vizquel will share stories of his favorite muses--painting and baseball--with Faigin, his friend and mentor. Surrounded by fascinating paintings and artful flowers, satiated by delicious foods and handcrafted wines, this one-of-a-kind evening will be long-remembered by every guest. The winning bidder takes home an original charcoal portrait of Omar Vizquel by Faigin to be signed by Vizquel at the dinner. All couples receive a Vizquel-signed baseball bat and a Faigin-signed exhibition catalog.
