Description
Yellow Loggia is an acrylic on board painting measuring 24'' x 24'', created in 1970 by the late University of Washington professor. Brazeau's artistic career of solo and group exhibitions throughout the western U.S. spanned decades until his death in 1974. His work was most recently shown in the 2003 Collectors' Choice Exhibition at Francine Seders Gallery. Brazeau's work is included in public and corporate collections such as the City of Seattle, Harborview Medical Center, Safeco, Seattle Art Museum and Zymogenetics. Brazeau studied with or taught many of the major artists in Northwest history. This piece is a wonderful example of Brazeau's artistic variety. Often known for Cubism or still lifes; this particular piece incorporates interesting surrealist qualities.
