ANTIPASTI AND PASTA COOKING PARTY
With Chef Jody Adams....Rialto/Brookline
At the home of the true and the brave...Linda and Jonathan Plazonja
(their house will never be the same!)
You and 9 of your friends will arrive with aprons and appetites late on a Saturday afternoon. You will work long and hard. In the end, your flour dusted being will be rewarded with a seat at the communal table. You will raise a glass of wine, raise a fork and toast yourselves!
Made ahead: a great big beautiful antipasti platter for people to nibble on while they are making the rest of the food.
To include: Meats, cheeses, vegetables, olives, breads etc....
Made by the guests:
3 different kinds of pasta and one gnocchi
Herb,Whole grain Eggless
Simple potato gnocchi
With 2 fillings and 3 sauces
One blanched and filled like a lasagna or a cannelloni
One filled and blanched like a ravioli or an agnolotti
One cut as string pasta and tossed with a sauce
Gnocchi with a simple sauce.
A big green salad to counter all that pasta.
Dessert.....I would do something very simple like a strawberry-mascarpone tart with balsamic ice cream. Wine included. Mangia!!!!!
