Ray Evernham, a Hazlet, New Jersey native, has built one of the most powerful, and one of the most popular teams in NASCAR today - Evernham Motorsports. He was tasked with re-introducing Dodge to the NASCAR circuit after a twenty-year absence. He accepted the challenge, building the foundation for a winning organization from the ground up with the same determination and passion that characterized his approach to racing since his days as a modified driver. He has built a team that will certainly leave its mark in the Nextel Cup, the Busch Series, and the Truck Series, including signing a development deal for an up-and-coming female driver. Kasey Kahne, Evernham's driver of the Dodge Dealers #9 car, is in the race for the Nextel Cup Championship.
