In 2004, Janet began working with clients on commissions for paintings, thus opening a new chapter in her long-standing career as a professional artist. "The response has been overwhelming." The commissions are logical extensions of Janets art.
"In a commission, the art grows from the energy of personal interaction between the artist and client through inquiry that sparks creativity and offers an extraordinary window into a process marked by deep concentration on the ways in which the purpose, the layers of meaning and message, and the materials come together." The final result carries not only the indelible imprint of something unique to her clients but a record, as well, of a very special journey of discovery for both client and the artist.
