John Gable is an artist caught between two centuries. A modern realist painter, Gable says he is nevertheless drawn to the emotional content of the 19th-century work. His painting, "The Flea Market" is a perfect example of this style. This lithograph is signed in pencil on the edge of the picture by the artist.
