Description
The Jembetat Gallery offers an antique African bowl with stirrer. These items are from the Fulani tribe of northern Senegal and are more than 100 years old. The bowl (16-in. diameter by 9½-in. high) and stirrer (46-in. long) have been carved with an intricate design. The bowl and stirrer were used in making cheeses and yogurt from goat and/or cow milk. As with any antique, these items have been chipped over the many years of constant use and show signs of wear. This is the item for that special collector of African items used in everyday living.
