Have you always thought you'd like to try your hand at oil painting? Increase your power of observation, and discover how to paint what you really see! Discover how speed and accuracy compliment each other, and paint with greater confidence! In any of the three continuous courses being offered, students will learn the basics of oil painting. Students choosing Oil Portraiture/Figure Painting will learn how to paint a portrait from life without relying on rigid under drawing. Students choosing "After the Masters" will select favorite masterworks from the past and reproduce the masterworks using techniques similar to the masters. Students choosing "Direct Painting in Oil" will learn the basics of opaque oil painting working from a wide variety of casts and still life. The complete tuition package includes: six months tuition to any course offered during 2006; choice of daytime or evening classes; all live model fees; all art supplies including oil paint; 25 canvas panels-one for each class; a set of 6 professional grade oil painting brushes; and a Certificate of Completion.
