The image is looking southeast across the river gorge from the west end of the Vincent Place Bridge. in the distance is the falls with the city skyline. Noteable are the Gorsline Building, at the brink of the falls, newly rebuilt and enlarged after a disasterous fire in November 1888 and the absence of the Platt Street Bridge.
