Award-winning local photographer, Cheryl Bennett, offers a print of her photograph, titled Thanksgiving. A lovely snow laden orchard in Atlanta New York is seen as if viewed while standing in an early winter snowfall. Each element of this image captures the silent tranquility of the moment: the snow drifting to the ground unhurried by the wind; the soft blanket of snow still undisturbed by the tracks of busy people or animals; even the untended orchard left to grow skyward. We are focused on a soothing scene forgetful of the hassles of daily life. Enlarged to a breathtaking 18"x11 ½" this soft warm toned photograph captures individual snowflakes on their descent from the sky. The image is printed on archival paper and is matted with overall dimensions: 23 ½"x 17." Ms.Bennett has shown her work on "Art Walk" and received the Best of Show award in the Photographers' Path 9 at the High Falls Gallery.
