Description

Poster 1 The Cahaba Lillies: Every May the Cahaba Lily blooms along the beautiful Cahaba River. The lily hides beneath the rushing river in the crevices of the limestone rocks, then burst into bloom in May for all to see.  The flower is stunning and rare. On the last Saturday in May people who love the lily make the journey to the Cahaba River to view Cahaba's Treasure.

Poster 2 Rosa Parks with Tourist: Rosa Louise Parks, a civil rights activist and American icon  was nationally recognized as the "mother of the modern day civil rights movement" in America. Her refusal to surrender her seat to a white male passenger on a Montgomery, Alabama bus, December 1, 1955, triggered a wave of protest December 5, 1955 that reverberated throughout the United States. Her quiet courageous act changed America, its view of black people and redirected the course of history.

Poster 3 Azaleas at Bellingrath Gardens: Throughout the year, Bellingrath Gardens and Home boasts an abundance of year-round blooms.  From camellias in winter, azaleas in spring, roses in summer and chrysathemums in autumn, Bellingrath Gardens and Home always has a beautiful array of blooms.

Poster 4 Caney Creek - The Bankhead National Forest: One of the Deep South's finest pockets of deep woods, Alabama's William B. Bankhead National Forest has a potential for adventure and natural beauty you'd expect of a bigger, wilder place.  Bankhead's jewel is the Sipsey Wilderness, sometimes called the "Land of a Thousand Waterfalls."
