Description

Handwoven runner, 15" X 31", with handsewn fringe. It is made of mercerized cotton, with suble accents in gold metallic threads. The runner may be handwashed and ironed or dry cleaned.

Special Instructions

The pattern for this runner (the very popular "rose" motif, with embellishments) was taken from a coverlet woven in the 1830's, probably in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Early colonial coverlets were typically made of linen and wool and remain some of America's greatest artistic treasures.
