"Exotic Still Life" by Maya Eventov, as seen in the Upstairs Hall of Design Home 2006, is a typical example of the artist's freedom of expression. Eventov was born, raised and educated in Leningrad in the former USSR.  She came to North America in 1990, after having studied art in her homeland from early childhood - first from her parents at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, and later at the St. Petersburg Academy of Industrial and Applied Art, from which she graduated with a Masters Degree in Fine Art.
