"Blanc de Blanc Still Life" by Alexander Sheversky, on display in the Wine Cellar of Design Home 2006, is a fine example of Sheversky's well-known realistic-style still life paintings. Sheversky was born in the Republic of Moldova (USSR) and learned to paint from his father who was a successful mural painter.  After four years of apprenticeship, he attended and graduated from the I.E. Repin Academy of Fine Art.  He moved to Israel in 1991, and to Canada in 2004.
