KIRK FRANKLIN RECEIVES 2007 GRAMMY® AWARD NOMINATIONS FOR BEST CONTEMPORARY R&B GOSPEL ALBUM AND
BEST GOSPEL SONG

Kirk Franklin, the biggest-selling Contemporary Gospel artist in Soundscan history, received two 2007 GRAMMY® Award nominations today for BEST CONTEMPORARY R&B GOSPEL ALBUM and BEST GOSPEL SONG (a songwriters award for “Imagine Me”) in conjunction with his sixth CD, HERO. The chart-topping disc spawned the hit singles “Looking For You,” a smash upbeat tune that exploded at multiple radio formats and the now Grammy-nominated “Imagine Me,” a moving anthem of victory and overcoming obstacles that encourages everyone to begin to see themselves through the eyes of Heaven and break through to the truth of who God says that they are. HERO debuted in the #1 position on two Billboard magazine charts and still remains at the top of the charts since its release in October 2005. The 49th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 11, 2007 on CBS.
