Two tickets for the 2007 Festival of Historic Houses tour on Saturday, June 2, 2007, organized by the Providence Preservation Society.  Tour day is open from 11 am to 5 pm.
     The Providence Preservation Society (PPS), which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, is hosting its 28th annual Festival of Historic Houses offering history buffs, art lovers and design enthusiasts intimate glimpses of some of the country's finest architecture, homes and landscapes. Last year this popular tour hosted over 1,100 attendees, including over 100 participants from the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU) Conference, resulting in one of the most successful tours to date. The 2006 Festival highlighted some of the best and never-before-seen private homes along Benefit Street and in the Congdon/Prospect Street neighborhood.
     The Festival of Historic Houses is a signature fundraising and educational event for PPS and provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about the wonderful historic architecture in Providence's distintive neighborhoods and to showcase preserved buildings in Providence's varied neighborhoods.
