Get your kids on board and reserve your bunks! Spend an evening on board a WWI battleship as you journey through a time when an alarm to general quarters stirred thousands of young men into action. You'll explore below decks and experience life as a sailor during WWII. The experience includes 2 days paid admission, 3 complete meals, feature films shown on board Big Mamie, a rotating schedule of knot-tying, Morse Code classes, flag-folding presentation, story-telling, and historical re-enactments. A free 16-page souvenir guide with a pull-out map of Big Mamie is also included.
Come spend the day visiting the world's largest collection of historic Naval ships. Conveniently located just one hour from Boston, Battleship Cove hosts five National Historic Landmarks: Battleship Massachusetts, Destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Submarine Lionfish, and PT Boats 617 and 796. Battleship Cove is also home to the Soviet-built Missile Corvette Hiddensee. Battleship Cove is the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Official Memorials for citizens who lost their lives in WWII as well as the Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars and the September 11 terrorist attacks.
