Description

An overnight stay in one of the Ambassador Hotel's luxurious Executive King Rooms, an oversize room with a king bed, easy chair and ottoman and the hotel's many unique amenities.
Originally built as a temporary upscale residence for wealthy oil barons and their families as they waited for their expansive mansions to be constructed, the ten-story Ambassador Hotel had to fit the needs of its discerning clientele.  Today, thanks to a multi-million-dollar restoration program, the Mediterranean-influenced Ambassador Hotel is one of Tulsa’s towering architectural and cultural achievements, mirroring the glories of old—save when it comes to service and convenience. The exterior is graced with Italian terra cotta relief panels and limestone cornices, while the European-style interiors are richly adorned in blue, burgundy and gold, with a palladian motif running throughout the hotel. Adjacent to the lobby, the Ambassador Library displays historic memorabilia from founder General Patrick Hurley’s distinguished career, and reproductions of landscapes painted by his son, Wilson Hurley, line the walls.
