Description

Delightful water goblet set (4) with embedded colored jeweled stones and engraved scrollwork inspired by National Trust Historic Sites.
Once part of the extensive Carter family plantation holdings, Oatlands, located near Leesburg, Virginia, is one of the National Trust's most impressive properties. Amidst the splendor of the 19th-century house, a small wood carving of appealing simplicity captures the eye. It is the handwork of Edith Morton Eustis, a woman of prominent family who applied her talents to a variety of fine arts. Ms. Eustis's wood carving inspires the delicate pattern of scrollwork and colored jewels that embellishes the Oatlands Glassware Collection.
